Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the characteristics of high-quality health education curricula for pre-service teachers.
  2. Identify strategies to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion and Social Determinants of Health into current and future health education curricula.
  3. Integrate key Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Healthy Schools tools and resources within their health education curricula for pre-service teachers.
  4. Develop an action plan to strengthen their health education teacher preparation programs.
