SOPHE, in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation, created this webinar to understand the burden of arthritis and the need for evidence-based programs. This webinar focuses specifically on the Walk With Ease program, how to choose the best program format for your organization, and how to budget and sustain the program.

In this webinar, presenters will engage in a dialogue to address these questions as well as offer examples of programs that successfully resolved some of these challenges in Native American, American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian Communities.

Publication Date: April 2, 2021, This Arts in Public Health series article evaluates early implementation of WWE in five community-based organizations (CBOs) that received 1-year grants for program delivery. We examine organizational characteristics and implementation activities during the first 6 months of their implementation grants and identify key differences between organizations that were successful with implementation and those that struggled. We also describe implementation barriers and provide practical strategies that organizations employed to overcome them.
